It’s exactly one month until the wedding as I write this and let me just start with – Stress. It’s stressful. Very stressful. The hardest thing for me is not being able to just call up a vendor to finalise details or to confirm my hair appointment because we’re still in London. As much as I hate to talk on the phone, I prefer to discuss these things over the phone so nothing is misconstrued over email – something that’s proving difficult.

I’m also having serious questions as to why people enjoy wedding planning – I mean honestly, how? Why? Where does that excitement come from? I just want to be able to show up and everything’s exactly as I see in my head and I don’t have to spend hours planning the seating chart and researching DIY, making shopping lists. Is that so hard?

Right. Rant over.

This is a happy/sad post because it’s the final month of Fit Bride Bootcamp. While I’m sad that it’s coming to a close, I’m also really happy because it’s given me a new outlook on exercise and actually having a proper ‘oh my god, I’m sweating, I feel gross’ workout session. I’m also really proud of Roslyn and I for making it work in our schedules. Admittedly, some weeks were more difficult to arrange than others but we always made it work in the end and I feel like that’s a massive feat in it of itself so congrats to us!

If you’ve already read the post on FlexFit Dance you know this month’s theme was couples workouts!! If you haven’t read it – check it out – because it’s seriously so much fun!

Instead of re-writing what I shared over on the ‘official post,’ I thought I would take the opportunity to share a final update for the wedding but sharing a glimpse of my to-do list for the coming weeks.

To Do List:

  • Seating Chart
  • Confirm meals with caterer
  • Give vendors updated guest count
  • Shoes for the wedding
  • Groomsmen ties and cufflinks
  • Bridesmaids gifts
  • Flower Girl dresses
  • Confirm flowers for flower girls (possibly flower crown?)
  • Final walk through at the venue
  • Weather Plan B in case it rains
  • DJ packet filled out and sent back
  • Family gifts
  • Order customised ‘secrets’ for wedding party
  • Arrange rehearsal dinner details
  • Finalise ceremony script and readings
  • Re-size wedding rings and have cleaned

and I’m sure there’s even a few things I’m missing on this list, but hey we leave for States on Wednesday and then I have a whole month to sort through it and get everything finished – so fingers crossed!
