Yesterday Rich and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary with a quiet dinner and long walk with Kendall but before that we enjoyed a very relaxing Saturday away. I cannot believe three years has already passed, it feels like just yesterday he was serving me drinks at The Union and we were both embarrassing ourselves. Time has flown by, especially this last year living together, I guess that’s what happens when you get older? Life keeps getting busier and times continues to move faster than I’d like. But our staycation was just what the doctor ordered.

As much as we’d love to re-create our first anniversary in Paris, a long weekend was just out of the question. However, we did manage to find 24 hours to enjoy a little stay-cation in our beautiful city. So Rich managed to plan a very well executed day for us where I was met with surprise after surprise. I was whisked away (dog free) to the Langham Hotel where we promptly dropped our bags in our gorgeous room and headed for the Chuan Spa’s Wellness facilities.

We enjoyed a few hours at the spa before heading to the Langham Lounge for champagne and hors d’oeuvres (which quickly became our dinner) before we headed for my “big surprise.” The surprise? Watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s on a big screen at a retro cinema. This wasn’t just any cinema, located in the Courthouse Hotel, a converted Courthouse as the name suggests. And no viewing of Breakfast at Tiffany’s would be complete without a glass on complimentary champagne.

To wrap up the evening we made a slight nod to our first anniversary by picking up the same meal with had in Paris as a late night snack for our room, complete with you guessed it — champagne and chocolates.
