When Rich said he wanted to go to Cardiff to watch Fulham play in October, I agreed under the condition we make a long weekend of it with Kendall. Shortly after we booked our first trip with PetsPyjamas – an online destination for everything dog and most importantly dog-friendly travel experiences.
We settled on Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel, it was outside Cardiff but an easy drive on matchday and a beautiful place to spend the weekend. Tucked away at top of a hill, this Victorian country house was beautiful and most importantly incredibly dog friendly! Dog friendly rooms were located in The Coach House which had direct access to the outside for late night potty breaks.
Despite a Fulham loss we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful and fulfilling weekend away. The hotel was close to both dog friendly beaches and hiking trails which kept us extremely active but most importantly Kendall very sleepy so we could enjoy a nice afternoon of beer and board games or a dinner alone in the dining room.
This trip was also important because it gave me the opportunity to take our Christmas card photos somewhere different this year. The staff at the hotel was kind enough to help take the photo and we settled on a cute little nook in the garden for an intimate and outdoorsy feel. I’ve teamed up with Minted again for the holidays and I still can’t get enough of their endless options for card designs.
Of course I needed a gorgeous foil, per usual, but during my browsing I stumbled across their dog themed Christmas cards and I just couldn’t stop myself. So for the very first time, Kendall had her own Christmas card and thanks to Minted we were able to send these hilarious drops of joy to 60 people who ‘opted in’ on Instagram AND our star pup ‘signed’ a card for every single one of Rich’s students, but made the cards out to their pets. Think cheesy notes like ‘have a purrfect Christmas’ when the student had a pet cat. Needless to say, they loved it and I’m officially a crazy dog lady!
But will 100% be doing Kendall Christmas cards again next year!
Christmas cards were gifted from Minted. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
