Nothing makes me work through a long hot yoga session or hike with Kendall like knowing I’m coming home to a good smoothie afterwards. This Berry Blend is my very favourite because it’s so simple and flexible enough to go with whatever is in my fridge (or freezer). In a perfect world, I would have the correct mixed fruit proportions every time but let’s be honest, that hardly ever happens.
The ideal mixture:
- 1/2 – 1 cup soya milk (or almond milk) —adjust milk to thickness desired
- 2 handfuls frozen blueberries, blackberry and strawberry melody
- 1 – 2 handfuls fresh raspberries
- 1 handful fresh strawberries
- 1 whole banana
Throw it in the blender and go. I use our Blend Active personal blender, so it’s blended straight into the cup I’m going to be taking with me on the go but it can easily be made in a standard blender and poured into a glass. If you need a touch of sweetness, add a tablespoon of honey when you blend for an extra kick or feeling extra healthy, add a scope of protein powder.
I have literately had nothing but raspberries and a banana (photo below) and it still was the perfect treat with a bit of honey, I was set. The possibilities are endless.
